Beethoven" is the latest musical by the hit duo of M. Kunze & S. Levi. This production is the latest in a long line of musicals including "Elisabeth," "Mozart! The golden duo of Michael Kunze (script/lyrics) and Sylvester Levi (music/arrangement), who have worked on some of the most popular Japanese musicals such as "Elisabeth," "Mozart," "Rebecca," "Marie Antoinette," and "Lady Beth," spent over 10 years in the planning stages to create this production of the classic music classic, "Beethoven. The film is an ambitious work that explores the enigmatic personality and life of Ludwig van Beethoven, one of the greatest musicians in the history of classical music and also known as the "Sage of Music". Melodies from "Pathetique," "Moonlight," "Hero," "Destiny," "The Countryside," "The Emperor," "For Elise," and "The Ninth," which everyone has heard at least once, appear frequently throughout the play, allowing the audience to easily immerse themselves in the world of Beethoven's works even without knowing his life story. The album "Tribute to Musical 'Beethoven' Original Works," to be released prior to the performance, will feature the original works of the major melodies selected by Kunze & Levi, performed by the orchestras of the Berlin Philharmonic and Vienna Philharmonic, conducted by Karajan, Bernstein, Böhm, Kubelík, and others.
