This album was produced to coincide with the publication of Billie Holiday's autobiography "Lady Sings the Blues" (Japanese title: "Strange Fruit"). On this album, Billie sings the title song written by Harvey Nichols and her favorite song "Travelin' Light" on a clever arrangement by Tony Scott, a clarinetist who is an old friend of hers. The latter four songs are from the LA session two years ago.
