Description:
The Takács String Quartet, founded in 1975 and highly acclaimed worldwide for their performances and many recordings, is now available on Yarlung Records. The album features bandoneon player and composer Julian Llabro and the popular genre-defying pianist, vocalist, and composer Clarice Asado. The album includes Lablo's "Meditation No. 1," backed by the seductive South American tango rhythms; Clarisse's "Luminous" and the three-part "Constellation," with the passion characteristic of Brazilian jazz; and Saariaho's "Nocturne. The natural & dense spatial expression typical of this label's recordings will appeal to audiophiles. No mixing or other post-production work is required. The master is completed at the recording site. *SHI stands for Sonorus Holographic Imaging. A new real-time processing technology in the analog domain that enables a three-dimensional sound image and a sense of presence with depth to be obtained even with ordinary stereo equipment, based on the sound field information at the recording site contained in the stereo recording.
