A collection of songs by composer Oskar Merikant, who will celebrate the 100th anniversary of his death in 2024. Merikanto is one of the most widely popular Finnish composers. The reason for this is the beauty of his romantic, sweet, and sometimes nostalgic melodies. This album contains 29 of his nearly 200 songs, including world premiere recordings. The beautiful voice is sung by baritone Waltteri Tricca. He topped the Finnish pop charts for three weeks in 2018 and has appeared at European music festivals and the BBC Proms, both operatic and concert.
