This is a live CD of the “Kinki University Wind Ensemble’s 53rd Annual Concert,” held at Festival Hall on December 2, 2013. The concert, held to commemorate the ensemble’s 50th anniversary, was a grand event featuring guest conductor Johan de Mey. For the Japanese premiere of Johan de Mey’s “UFO Concerto,” the ensemble welcomed euphonium player Shoichiro Sotomura as soloist. With Johan de Mey’s passionate conducting and Shoichiro Sotomura’s brilliant solo, and the Kinki University Wind Ensemble to deliver a superb, perfectly synchronized performance.
