The original soundtrack for director Hirokazu Kore-eda’s latest film, *The Sheep in the Box*, which is garnering attention as an official selection in the Competition section at the 79th Cannes International Film Festival. "The Sheep in the Box," an original film conceived, directed, written, and edited by the internationally acclaimed Hirokazu Kore-eda, stars Haruka Ayase and Daigo (of the comedy duo Chidori) in dual lead roles as a married couple. Set in the "near future," the story follows a couple who have lost a child as they welcome a humanoid in the form of their son, allowing their life as a family to begin anew. The film’s score was composed entirely as a film score by composer Yudai Bando. It depicts the shifting dynamics of family relationships—amid the interplay between humans and humanoids—through three central elements: cello, vocals, and orchestra. The original soundtrack features a total of 31 tracks, carefully selected from both the film’s score and a collection of songs not used in the final cut. (C)RS
