Produced and guitarized by Johnny Winter and backed by an ironclad band including James Cotton (harmonica), Paintop Perkins (piano), and Bob Margolin (guitar), the three classic albums "Hard Again (1977)", "I'm Ready (1978)" and " King Bee (1981)" as a set. A wall of sound pressure and a flood of blues! If you want to know Muddy Waters, you must have these three albums. Muddy Waters (1913-83) is known as the "Father of Chicago Blues" who created the band style blues. His taut vocals and dynamic slide guitar influenced many rock musicians, including the Rolling Stones and Eric Clapton. This album is a compilation of "Hard Again (1977)," "I'm Ready (1978)," and "King Bee (1981)," a series of albums that Johnny Winter produced in the late 70s and early 80s to revive Muddy's career. Released on Blue Sky Records, "Hard Again" won a Grammy.All produced, guitar and vocals by Winter, backed by his regular band at the time, Pine Top Perkins (piano), Bob Margolin (guitar), Charles Carmies (bass), Willie Big Eyes Smith (drums), and backed by the legendary James Cotton (harmonica). Legend James Cotton (harmonica) also provides strong backup! This is a trilogy of Muddy's own standard tunes with a new approach.
