This is a memorial edition to Joe Simon, a rare soul singer who was at the top of the scene in the 60's and 70's and sadly passed away on December 13, 2021. The album contains almost all of the songs from his five albums, including "Simon Pure Soul (1966)," "Simon Sings (1968)," and "The Chokin' Kind (1969)," which he recorded for Sound Stage 7, the Nashville label he worked for from 1966 to 1970, in chronological order. In addition, singles and B-sides are also included for a total of 61 tracks, a must have for fans.
