Since the 1990s, he has participated in all of Massive Attack's studio albums and has been a key member of their tours, making an impact on the non-reggae scene and captivating a wide range of music fans. Horace Andy's latest work, "Midnight Rocker," will be released on On-U Sound, led by Adrian Sherwood.In creating Midnight Roker, producer Adrian Sherwood followed the approach that he had learned from his work on Lee Scratch Perry's Rainford and Heavy Rain albums, which is appropriate for the work of a musician at the peak of his career. The team of top-notch musicians was assembled. We assembled a team of top-notch musicians and spent months perfecting the performances, arrangements, and mixing. The resulting songs are painstakingly crafted, backed by superior technique, and result in songs that further accentuate the appeal of Horace Andy's one-of-a-kind voice. Some of the songs, such as "Mr. Bassie," are self-covers of existing Horace Andy classics, but many, such as "Watch Over Them" and "Materialist," are newly composed songs with a contemporary message. In addition, the album even includes a new version of the very popular early song "Safe From Harm" from the work of Massive Attack, the group with which Horace Andy has had the deepest interaction. The original "Safe From Harm" featured Shara Nelson on vocals, but here Horace holds the microphone.Interestingly, Shara Nelson recorded with Adrian Sherwood several years before Massive Attack began, and their 1983 unknown street soul classic, "Aiming At Your Heart," can be considered a blueprint for Massive Attack's later sound. The band backing the band on this album features an elite group of On-U Sound musicians, including Gowdy, Skip McDonald, Crucial Tony, Ital Horns, and the late Style Scott and George Orban. The CD includes a commentary and lyrics. The domestic CD includes a commentary and bilingual lyrics, and an additional bonus track, "My Guiding Star".
