The band was formed in 2018 by singer Christian Hermansson (Starman Red), who was in THE POODLES before joining Jacob Samuel and played in the KISS tribute band KISSED. The new album opens with "Liar," a fast beat song by new drummer John Hector aka Silver Starman, which showcases Purple Starman's guitar skills to the fullest. Gold then sings the mid-tempo sing-along "Rockstar," which is followed by another ballad, "Rockstar. The album also includes the ballad "I Die For You," the up-tempo "Just A Stranger," the 80's AOR song "Renegade Jenny," and the melodic "Word Up (We All Bleed Red)," all in one well-balanced album. STARMEN continues to move forward boldly, bringing their own songs and sound into the modern age while maintaining the style and image of 70s and 80s rock.Melodic hard rock sits at the forefront, packaged in a retro comic book style image with a fast-moving theme.
