Bianconi was born in Nice in 1960. He studied with Gaby Cassadoche and Simone Delbert-Félivet (pupil of Marguerite Long and Robert Cassadoche). A silver medalist at the 7th Van Cliburn International Competition, she performed extensively with Hermann Pley in the 1980s, when she was in her twenties and at the height of her powers. He is also a veteran of distinguished performances with Rampal, Starkel, Gary Hoffman, the Garneri String Quartet, and the Thalich String Quartet.The exquisite tempo and tone of "Wind Across the Field," which reminds one of a breeze blowing through the air, the poetic world of "Sound and Scent Drift in the Evening Air," and the tasteful "Fireworks" are just a few examples of the French spirit that pervades each piece.
