Carlos Paita (1932-2015), one of the leading Argentine conductors of the 20th century, delighted classical music fans in the 1980s with the Philharmonic Orchestra he founded, releasing R. Strauss' "Life of Hero", Beethoven's Symphony No. 7, Dvořák's Symphony No. 7, Bruckner's Symphony No. 4 "Romantic", and other works on his own Lodia label. Romantic" on his own label, Lodia, to the delight of classical music fans. This album is a two-disc set of Tchaikovsky's two previous releases on Lodia: 1980's "Pathetique" with the National Philharmonic Orchestra, and 1994's No. 4 with the Russian Philharmonic Orchestra and orchestral works.
