Description:

A limited-edition deadstock of two original analog EPs that preceded the album BLUE THOUGHT, released under the name TwiGy al Salaam in 2011 on Jazzy Sport. The EPs have been released under the name of "TwiGy al Salaam", and were released under the name of "Blue Thought" by TwiGy al Salaam, a name of Greedy on ILLBLOCK x ATSUKI "Legacy" and DJ TANAKEN who was featured on "Rise Up" with BES, and have been supported by the domestic hip hop scene for over a generation. He was also featured on "Living Legends - The Return Remix" by STATIK SELEKTAH, and is a living legend rapper TWIGY. His 2011 "BLUE THOUGHT" featured beatmakers/producers such as Mitsu The Beats, mabanua, Grooveman Spot, Bottomfly, and Ben The Ace, as well as musicians such as Takumi Kaneko and Tabu Zombie, This is a pioneering work in the current crossover of jazz, soul, and hip-hop, and is a masterpiece that sounds fresh again today. This is a 12inch of "Stay," a mid-tempo Afro-jazzy soul x hip-hop track produced by beatmaker Bottom Fly, whose "YOU'RE SO BEAUTIFUL" (2007) and "RIVERSIDE CRATES EP" (2008) on Jazzy Sport have won him acclaim both at home and abroad. ~This 12inch release features the classic track "Stay," a mid-tempo Afro-jazzy soul x hip-hop track that pioneered the fusion of neo-soul, hip-hop, and jazz. The mid-tempo Afro-percussive groove with indigenous shouts, chorus, kalimba, etc., and the chorus of MACSSY, a female soul vocalist, are combined in a lustrous dialogue on "Stay (Album)," which is an Afro-jazzy hip-hop soul song, The black trippy keyboard playing by Masaya Fnatasista also stands out on this timeless masterpiece. Side-B features SIMBAD, who is currently based in South Africa and has released works from UK's FREERANGE, grooveman Spot, who has been actively releasing not only his own works but also produced works and RMX works, and Masaya Fantasista, who also plays keyboard on the album version of "TettoryBad". The project TTB=TettoryBad is a project by Masaya Fantasista, who also plays keyboards on the album version of RMX. The project is a reworking of the Afrocentric, soul-electric broken hip-hop sound that is rooted in a hip-hop background. This is a dead stock entry in a limited number. Don't miss out.
