Description:

A Document of How Bob Dylan Became Bob Dylan with Rare Soundtracks The Bootleg Series Vol. 18: Through The Open Window, 1956-1963" Deluxe Box Set (8CD) The Bootleg Series Vol. 18: Through The Open Window, 1956-1963" (The Bootleg Series Vol. 18: Through The Open Window, 1956-1963) is the 18th collection of Bob Dylan's bootleg series. This is a documentary of how Bob Dylan became Bob Dylan, with rare sound recordings. It is the story of the beginnings of a boy with no name, Robert, from the private recordings he made in his hometown of Minnesota in 1956 to Carnegie Hall in 1963. It is also a documentary that tells the story of how a boy who was obsessed with rock and roll eventually came to know Woody Guthrie and expanded his musical expression and creativity, and how he became Bob Dylan. This deluxe edition of the album is an 8 CD luxury box set that chronologically traces the period from before their debut to around the time of the release of their third album, "The Times They Are a-Changin'". All mastered from new tapes, the set includes rare and previously unreleased home recordings, studio outtakes, and live recordings at coffeehouses & nightclubs. The centerpiece of the eighteenth bootleg is a complete, previously unreleased recording of Dylan's turning point performance at Carnegie Hall on October 26, 1963, mixed from the original tapes. 8 CDs contain 139 tracks, including 48 previously unreleased performances and 38 extremely rare recordings, A hardcover book with long liner notes by Sean Wilentz and over 100 rare photos will also be included.
