Titled "Pyramids, Stars & Other Stories: The Tangent Live Recordings 2004-2017," the CD set includes three concerts from 2004, 2011, and 2017. The three concerts were previously released as "unofficial bootlegs," but now, for the first time, InsideOutMusic is releasing the recordings as official recordings. The three live LPs (and two CDs) are like a bucket list of dreams I've had since I was a kid," said band leader Andy T. "I've always wanted to do something like this, but I never got around to it. It's a dream come true for the band," says Andy Tillison, the band's leader. First, at the "Pyramids And Stars" concert in Germany in 2004, the band, led by Roine Stolt of The Tangent, performed most of their debut album, "Music That Died Alone," as well as a large portion of their second album, "The World The entire performance of then-new songs from "That We Drive Through" is included (CD1(1)-(6)).In addition, there will be 2012 concert recordings from the COMM-era band lineup (recorded without their knowledge) in the UK (CD2 (2)-(4) (6)), plus tracks recorded in the US in 2017 with the current lineup (CD2 (1) (5) (7)). These were recorded for fans of "Southend On Sea" and "Hotel Cantaffordit" Andy says, "This is a real, proper live album. It's candid, it's spontaneous, there are mistakes, and it's a little too loud and a little too quiet. It's just what happened at the three shows. It's an unintentional live piece," he says. This long-awaited release from the band's fanatics will be available in a 2CD digipak format.
