It is no exaggeration to say that Black Sabbath and Judas Priest, both born in Birmingham, England, have made the world of heavy metal what it is today. If Black Sabbath brought the concept of heavy, dark, and horror to rock music, Judas Priest established and spread the image of heavy metal with their metallic steel sound, leather and studs, and Harley Davidson fashion. They will finally start their postponed 50th anniversary tour this summer. The mammoth 42-CD box set "50 HEAVY METAL YEARS OF MUSIC," which they have been preparing since last year, will be released in a limited edition of 3,000 sets worldwide (limited sales in Japan).This album is the highlight of the series, "Reflections - 50 Heavy Metal Years of Music" (Reflections - 50 Years of Heavy Metal). The songs were selected by Tom Allom and the band, who have produced many of their most important albums, and include nine non-single tracks (six studio tracks and three live tracks) that are very popular among fans, as well as seven previously unreleased live tracks, all mastered by Alex Wharton at Abbey Road Studios. The newest mastering by Alex Wharton of Abbey Road Studios will be used for this release.
