Griff Rhys, the core member of Super Furry Animals, one of the leading bands of the kaleidoscope pop sound, releases his latest solo album! The Super Furry Animals, a national band from Wales, made their debut in 1996 on Creation Records, the legendary label that discovered Oasis, Primal Scream, My Bloody Valentine, and many others. The Super Furry Animals are a national band from Wales. Griff Rhys, the frontman of the band and a pop wizard, has released his latest solo album on ROUGH TRADE, just one year after 2018's "Babelsberg". Recorded over 18 months in the capital city of Cardiff and Johannesburg, South Africa, this album is entirely sung in Welsh.All songs were written and composed by Griff himself, produced and mixed by South African electronic artist Muzi, and titled "Pang!", which in English means heartache, mental pain, or physical pain, suffering, or seizure. The lyrics reflect the negative heartache of daily life, as well as the suffering and difficulties of modern life. The sound of the album is the same pop genius of the previous album, with glimpses of experimental elements such as dissonance and electronic beats.
