The 2-CD compilation "REMIXES" shows how deeply Kraftwerk has influenced the club scene, DJ/VJ culture, techno music, and all other forms of electro dance music. REMIXES" is a 2-CD set containing 19 official Kraftwerk remixes. The collection includes not only Kraftwerk's own remixes, but also remixes by Francois Kervorkian, William Orbit, Etienne de Crecy, Orbital, Underground Resistance, DJ Rolando, Hot Chip, and other DJs active in the dance/electro scene. The album also features remixes of songs from collaborations with DJs and producers active in the dance/electro scene, such as Hot Chip. The songs on the album are mostly from Kraftwerk 12" singles, CD singles, and digital releases between 1991 and 2021.REMIXES" also includes "Non Stop" and remixes of "Home Computer" and "Tour De France (Etape 2)," the most recent recordings to come out of the Kling Klang studio. Non Stop" was originally created as a short music clip for MTV in the 1980s, but in 2020, Kraftwerk developed the original 30-second sound clip into an eight-minute feature-length musical work. In exciting news for fans and collectors, the William Orbit Hardcore Mix of "Radioactivity," which was only available on a US 12-inch single released in 1991, is included. Other tracks on the album include a DJ Rolando remix of "Expo 2000," a remix of "Aero Dynamik" by Francois K and Etienne de Crecy, a Kraftwerk remix of "The Robots (Robotnik)," and a Hot Chip remix of "La Forme" extended remix by Hot Chip are included across the two CDs. While many of the remixes are available for streaming, they have long been hard to find in CD or analog form, making this a must-have and must-listen for Kraftwerk fans and electro DJs alike.
