Description:
Jethro Tull, a leading British progressive rock band led by Ian Anderson. The original album soundtracks of "STORMWATCH - Mystery of the North Sea Oil Field", the final chapter of the "Folk Rock Trilogy", which marks the end of an era for the band, have been revived with a new stereo mix by Stephen Wilson! Jethro Tull, one of the leading figures of British progressive music led by Ian Anderson, celebrates their 50th anniversary in 2018, and their "40th Anniversary Project" finally reaches the last work from the 1970s!" The 12th and final album of the "Folk Rock Trilogy", "STORMWATCH - The Mystery of the North Sea Oil Fields", released in September 1979, will be reissued in a new stereo mix on analog LP to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the release of the album. In the past, Jethro Tull has released deluxe editions of his albums to celebrate their 40th anniversary, featuring new remixes by Steven Wilson and rare and previously unreleased material. In November 2019, a deluxe edition of "THE 40TH ANNIVERSARY FORCE 10 EDITION" consisting of 4CD+2DVD will be released. The 40th anniversary analog LP is a new stereo mix of the original album by Steven Wilson from this deluxe edition. This folk-rock album, the follow-up to 1977's "Songs from the Woods" and 1978's "Heavy Horses," was the last in a late-70s lineup that included Ian Anderson, Martin Barre, John Glasscock, John Evan, David (Dee) Palmer, and Barrymore Barlow. Recorded between August 1978 and July 1979, "StORMWATCH" contains a number of environmental and oceanic songs such as "North Sea Oil" and "Flying Dutchman," and other songs with environmental and oceanic themes. STORMWATCH" marked the end of an era for Jethro Tull, as John Glasscock died of illness and the band members left the band after the album's tour. Forty years have passed since its release, and the album offers listeners a new discovery.
