The new work by Danny McCaslin, the genius who mesmerized Bowie. Danny McCaslin, the tenor prodigy whose brilliant playing on David Bowie's posthumous album "★" was released in January 2016, has released a new album, "Blow," that expresses all the influences he had on Bowie. His new album "Blow," which expresses all of Bowie's influences, is now available. McCaslin has been active in the jazz scene since the 1990s, joining the Maria Schneider Orchestra and performing with Bowie through his connections. McCaslin is active in the ongoing cross-genre jazz scene. In a career that has spanned over a quarter of a century, a career that even attracted Bowie, this album showcases a boldly evolving direction for him as an artist. She plays a wide range of musical styles at will, from the art rock of "What About the Body," the first single that opens the album, to electronica. Bowie told us during the recording process, "Just go for what you hear at the time, and don't worry about what people will think or how they will categorize your genre.McCaslin says that his philosophy of "let's make music" is deeply engraved in his mind. In this album, the two collaborate beautifully on a vocal number that has never been in his style before. Two years have passed since Bowie's passing, and the band's members Mark Juliana (drums), Jason Lindner (keyboards), Tim Lefebvre (bass), and other world-class musicians from the "★" band are collaborating on this ambitious work that digests and expresses the impact of the "★" sessions. Gail Ann Dorsey, known for her longtime collaboration with Bowie, and Sun Kil Moon, a leading figure in the indie world, will also participate, demonstrating the breadth of McCaslin's personal connections.
