Josh Tillman, aka Father John Misty, one of the best singer-songwriters of our time, completes his new album, CHLOE AND THE NEXT 20TH CENTURY, his fifth album in four years and first since 2018's Gods Favorite Customer . The album was written/recorded between August and December 2020 and features arrangements by Drew Erickson (Lana Del Rey, Weyes Blood, etc.). Josh Tillman produced Chloe and the Next 20th Century with longtime collaborator Jonathan Wilson (Conor Oberst, Bonnie 'Prince' Billy, etc.). The basic tracks were recorded at Wilson's studio, Five Star, with Dave Cerminara as engineer/mixer.Strings, brass, and woodwinds were recorded at United Recordings in a session that included Dan Higgins and Wayne Bergeron. The album includes "Funny Girl," "Q4," "Goodbye Mr. Blue," "Kiss Me (I Loved You)," and 11 other songs.
