The London Oratory Schola Cantorum Boys Choir was founded in 1996 to provide choral education opportunities for Catholic boys ages 7 to 18. Charlie's Cole, the current music director, has held this position since 2012 and provides precise guidance to the boys. The school and chapel maintain a close relationship, and the choir not only sings every Saturday night at chapel Mass and at regular services, including holidays during the school term, but also tours and records music for movies (such as Lord of the Rings), among many other activities. The choir is usually selected at the age of 7 by exam and interview, and the students practice with a top-notch vocal trainer every morning at 8:00 a.m. and frequently at lunchtime and after school to hone their talents.
