The live recording from the one-night-only performance on August 28, 1962, in Washington, D.C., featuring the legendary collaboration of Tony Bennett and Dave Brubeck! The live performance at the Washington Monument in 1962, where these two essential names in 20th-century music came together for their only collaboration. This precious recording, discovered in the archives, is released for the first time after over 50 years! 1962 was a pivotal year: Tony Bennett released one of his signature songs, "I'm in Love with the Foggy City of San Francisco," while Dave Brubeck was in the midst of releasing best-selling albums like Dave Digs Disney (1957), *Time Out* (1959), and *Bossa Nova U.S.A.* (1962). At the time of their collaboration, they were 36 and 42 years old. Nearly half a century after this live performance, in 2009, they miraculously reunited at the Newport Jazz Festival. By then, they were 83 and 89 years old.Then, on December 5, 2012, Dave Brubeck passed away, one day before his 92nd birthday. The producer credited was Theo Macero, a name that will remain in American music history.
