This is the latest 2-CD best-of set based on the setlist of the 1982 show handwritten by Joe Strummer, with the original recordings in that order. This 2-CD set is the best of the best, containing 33 studio recordings based on the setlist of the legendary Brixton Fairdeal show in 1982, plus 8 of the band's best songs.Also included is an original, handwritten set list that Joe Strummer taped to the back of his beloved Telecaster before each gig. Joe Strummer passed away in 2002, but Mick Jones (guitar, vocals), Paul Simenon (bass), and Topper Heedon (drums) look back on him and jointly describe the following Each show was different.Joe spent a lot of time thinking about the set list. He would think about the dynamics of the songs, how strong their emotional impact would be, and what key songs to include. This recording is based on the setlist Joe came up with for the Brixton Fairdeal show of The Casbah Club's UK tour on July 10, 1982.
