Description:

The forefront of Bach performance! The fifth edition of Rademann's "BACH.VISION"! VISION" is a major project organized by the International Bach Academy Stuttgart, which will perform Bach's cantatas in chronological order starting in 2023, 300 years after his Leipzig period (1723-1724)! The series of 23 concerts will be held in and around Stuttgart, and the recordings will be made in conjunction with the concerts. The series is notable for its use of the latest research based on the "Bach-Werke-Verzeichnis (BWV3)" (3rd edition), revised and edited by Christine Blanken, Christoph Wolff, and Peter Volney, all leading figures in Bach research, and published in 2022. The fifth volume of this series is the first in a series of 17 volumes, each of which is based on a different work of Bach. This fifth volume contains works performed in Leipzig from November 2, 1723 (BWV 194.2) to December 25, 1723, the first day of the Nativity (BWV 63).BWV 194.2 is a cantata based on a lost secular cantata from the Köthen period (BWV 194.1) and was written for the dedication ceremony of the church organ in Stelmthal near Leipzig, which took place on November 2, 1724. Bach himself authenticated and dedicated the new organ, which was built by Hildebrandt, a pupil of the renowned Zilbermann, and even composed the music for the dedication ceremony. While the celebratory music is a parody of his own old secular music, we know that the cantata was subsequently performed again at least on the feasts of the Holy Trinity in 1724 and 1731. The opening and closing chorales are two of the most famous chorales of the time. BWV90 is a cantata for the 25th Sunday after Trinity, a short work with two highly technical arias. BWV90 is a cantata for the 25th Sunday after the Trinity.(1/2) King International
