Thielemann and the Staatskapelle Dresden in their home ground, the Semperoper, Bull 1 Live! Edition 52 of the Staatskapelle Dresden series. Speaking of Thielemann and the Staatskapelle Dresden 2017 Bruckner "Symphony No. 1," a live performance at the Philharmonie in Munich on September 6 was included in the complete collection released by C Major, and this box was specially selected in the September 2021 issue of Record Geijutsu magazine as This box was highly acclaimed as a special selection in the September 2021 issue of "Record Geijutsu" magazine. Thielemann has continued his Bruckner symphony project since becoming principal conductor of the Staatskapelle Dresden in 2012, and this is the eighth time he has performed Bruckner's Symphony No. 1. Bruckner's First Symphony was written in 1868, but was revised in 1877, 1984, and 1890 in the "Linz Version" used here. The youthful wildness of Bruckner's music has been polished by the mature calligraphy of his later years, and the result is a gem.Thielemann's interpretation is basically the same as the Munich live performance, with a slightly slower tempo, but the deep resonance of the Semperoper in Dresden also adds to the full impression.
