The album features violin concertos written for Quint by Elolyn Warren and Leila Auerbach, a new work by Quint's mother, Laura Kvindt, and "Adoration" by Florence Price. The concerto focuses on pivotal moments in life, including the second movement of Warren's concerto, inspired by a Yiddish lullaby his grandfather sang to young Philip, and Auerbach's concerto, which reflects the distortion of memory caused by future experiences. Auerbach's work had its world premiere in 2004 at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, and 20 years after its premiere, the world premiere recording has finally been made. Quint was born in 1974 in Russia.She studied under Andrei Korsakov at the Moscow Conservatory and made her debut as a solo violinist with Korsakov's orchestra at the age of nine. He then moved to the United States to attend the Juilliard School of Music. Her debut disc, released in 2001, was nominated for a Grammy Award, and she became a violinist of international renown. Currently, she is expanding her activities worldwide, especially in the United States. PENTATONE
