Anne Knop is the first violin of La Petite Band (she also plays in other renowned ensembles such as Il Fondamento, Europa Galante, Bach Concentus, etc.), concertmaster of the period orchestra "Concerto Foscari" in Hanover, and the first violin of the string quartet "QUATUOR "a4"". Anne Knopf, a renowned Belgian female violinist who also plays as the first violin of QUATUOR "a4", among others. She has performed with "Le Pavillon de Musique," which she founded in 2020, from Et cetera, and has featured unknown music from the Baroque to the early Classical period. Bach's Sonatas and Partitas for Solo Violin (complete works), one of the eternal bibles for violinists! Anne Knopf studied violin with Fran Vos and chamber music with Florent van de Vondel at the Conservatory of Mechelen.She studied violin with Erisa Kawaguchi at the Conservatory of Lemmens and baroque violin at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels with Sigiswald Kuijken, a pioneer in the performance of ancient music. Currently, in addition to her activities as a soloist and orchestral player, she conducts extensive research on performance practice of the Romantic repertoire, which is also the subject of her PhD (Ghent University), which she will receive in September 2019.
