This is a fine compilation of Dizzy Gillespie's three December 1957 albums with three of modern jazz's greatest tenor players, Sonny Rollins, Sonny Stitt, and Stan Getz, on two CDs. The three albums are "Duets" (Verve MGV-8260) with Rollins and Stitt separately, "Sonny Side Up" (Verve MGV-8262) with Rollins and Stitt together, and "For Musicians Only" (Verve MGV-8198) with Stitt and Getz together. Verve MGV-8198), which features Stitt and Getz together. In addition, one song not included on the LP and two additional takes discovered on "For Musicians Only" are also included.
