Remastered and bonus CD of Nancy Sinatra's tenth album, 1969's "NANCY" After a brilliant career at the forefront of pop music, Nancy fell on hard times in an unexpected way. Lee Hazelwood, with whom Nancy had made many hits, suddenly moved to Sweden without saying goodbye. Surprised and hurt, Nancy still decides to move forward. She starts over with a new producer, Billy Strange, and a young songwriter named Mack Davis. Often lost between the more funky periods of her discography in the 1960s and 1970s, this album features the country-tinged soul of "God Knows I Love You," "Son of a Preacher Man," the timeless ballad "Memories," and the The Doors "Light My Fire" in a breathtaking orchestral, bluesy, downtempo funk version that is too good to pass up. The CD includes three additional bonus tracks, including a new mix of the previously unreleased song "Longtime Woman (early alternate version)," produced by Lee Hazelwood and written by Bob Lind during the sessions for the 1968 album "Nancy & Lee" and featuring Nancy's breathtaking voice and Don Landy's delicate harpsichord. and three additional bonus tracks, including a new mix of "Longtime Woman (an early alternate version)," and a 24-page booklet featuring never-before-seen photos from Nancy Sinatra's personal archives.
