Guy JohnstonBorn in 1981 to an artistic family in England, Guy Johnston began his musical career in the choir of King's College Cambridge. He began his musical career in 1981 in the choir of King's College, Cambridge, and has since distinguished himself on the cello, winning the BBC Young Musician of the Year award in 2000. He also studied with Isserlis. Johnston began to ask himself what his mission as a cellist was, playing the famous instrument Teichler created 300 years ago, and commissioned three British composers to create a work that would "consider the role of the cello in the past three centuries and at the same time let their imaginations run wild. As the title suggests, the program transcends time and space, beginning with works by contemporary British composers and ending with works by Respighi, allowing us to listen to the fascination of Guy Johnston and to be struck anew by the limitless possibilities of the cello instrument. This is a piece of music that will leave you amazed at the infinite possibilities of the cello instrument. King International
