Unknown masterpiece by Bischoff, maker of the Harmonicello! For more than two centuries after his death, German musician Johann Carl Bischoff has been known in the world of music history as a string instrument maker who invented a mysterious and unique instrument called the "Harmonicello". The appearance of this complete recording of the "Six Cello Sonatas" has given the public an opportunity to discover an even more complete and fascinating personality, both as a composer and as a virtuoso cellist. His style is rooted in the classical musical tradition, but has a particular style that anticipates the sublime adventures of German Romantic music. Claudio Longo was appointed solo cellist of the Klemencic Consort (Clemencic Consort) in 1980 and has also played with Ensemble 415 and Esperion XX. Furthermore, he is one of the leading figures in Italian ancient music today, regularly invited by the Seville Festival of Ancient Music and other prominent European ancient music festivals.He is now actively engaged in concerts and recordings as a husband and wife duo with Emanuela Vozza, who met in 2001 and was principal cellist at Ansambu DSG and Rusan Petronio Capella Musicale in Bologna.
