Description:

Max Bruch (1838-1920) composed only two string quartets at the beginning of his twenties, and both are masterpieces in the colorful German Romantic style. Although there are now several recordings, this 1983 recording by the Academica Quartet was quite pioneering. The Academica Quartet was formed in 1967 at the Bucharest Conservatory in Romania. This classic recording, long out of print, is now being reissued at an affordable price. King International
