This is the new work by a five-member group led by Santiago Vazquez, the proud genius of Argentina, and Edgardo Cardoso, who has a beautiful Caetano level voice. The minimalist piano melodies that gently wrap the contours of sound are also impressive, and while based on folklore, the band presents cool, air-conditioned post-rock based on post-acoustic sensibilities. The band is a remarkable talent in the lineage of Hermeto Pascoal and others, and also resonates with the Animal Collective and its surroundings.
