He studied in Krakow, then moved to Stuttgart and Paris, where he studied under Marcel Dupré. His style is in the vein of French Impressionism, with a deep sense of faith hidden in a variety of tones. His choral works reflect his personal experiences, most notably his "Missa de Angelis," composed in 1979, a solemn piece in the style of the late medieval mass with modern harmony, is a fascinating work. The "Four Preludes," which incorporates jazz elements, is another interesting work. Universal Music/IMS
