He has performed in Japan and is one of the best pianists of our time, both in name and reality. After winning the competition, he signed a contract with the BIS label. In the midst of a very active series of releases, a major project, "Schubert+," is underway to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Schubert's death in 2028. This series was born out of Chakmul's desire to not only focus on Schubert's major solo piano works and the works of composers who were influenced by his music by juxtaposing them, but also to give each work a new appeal, and to date, "Schubert + Schoenberg" ( The project was born out of Chakmul's desire to not only focus on the works of the composers whose music influenced him, but also to give each work a new appeal. The fourth release focuses on "Improvisations" and aims to provide insight into the evolution of piano music by combining works by Schubert and other composers from the 19th century. The program includes Schubert's famous four improvisations D899, two improvisations by Jan Wojciech (1791-1825), a Czech-born Viennese composer who was highly praised by Beethoven, four Chopin pieces, and two Scriabin pieces. Chopin's four pieces and two pieces by Scriabin. The program is a testament to the composers' love of this free form and their romantic expression of the melody and emotion of the moment.
