Description:

Genius descends! Alexandre Kantorov's second collection of Saint-Saens' works for piano and orchestra is now available on SACD hybrid disc. In his first recital in Japan, Kantorov gave a heavyweight program of Brahms' "Four Ballades," Liszt's "Reading Dante: Sonata Fantasy," and Brahms' "Piano Sonata No. 3," and his audience was enchanted by his extraordinary concentration and passionate performance. Kantorov is truly the descent of a genius! This album is the second collection of Saint-Saens' works for piano and orchestra, including Piano Concertos Nos. 1 & 2, "Wedding Cake," "Allegro a Pasionato," "Auvergne Rhapsody," and "Africa," a fantasy. Saint-Saëns, a child prodigy, began playing the piano at the age of 2, reached a high level of proficiency at 3, and began composing at 5. He began composing at the age of five. He composed five piano concertos during his lifetime. All of them feature Saint-Saens' brilliant technique and sparkling melodies. The amazingly talented Aleksandr Kantorov sings the difficult music of his native composer with eloquence and eloquent delivery, using a technique that is almost spare! Born in 1997, Aleksandr Kantorov inherited his father's musical talent and at the age of 16 he performed Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini with Sinfonia Varsovia at the La Folle Journée in Nantes and Warsaw. The audience was enthralled by their outstanding technique and emotionally rich performance. He then became the first Frenchman to win the 16th International Tchaikovsky Competition in 2019. In the finals, he performed Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 2, a difficult piece that requires a higher level of technique than the famous No. 1, which was also well received by the audience at the competition. We are very much looking forward to the activities of this up-and-coming pianist, who is currently attracting worldwide attention as a hero of France! King International
