SACD hybrid release of a collection of works for chorus by Alfredo Jansons (1937-), an important part of the Norwegian Soloist Choir's repertoire since its founding. The Norwegian Soloist Choir's ninth BIS album, "The Wind Blows As It Wants". It is an anthology of works by Norwegian composer Alfredo Jansson. Jansson (1937-) studied classical piano while working as a jazz and popular music pianist, accordion player, and composer, and was taught music theory by Björn Vongor and Finn Mottensen. He continues to create music in a variety of styles, drawing inspiration from genres as diverse as the European avant-garde, late romanticism, jazz, and folk music. One of Jansons' central compositions, works for vocalists, have been an important part of the Norwegian Soloist Choir's repertoire since its founding in 1950.
