The vocalist/songwriter, who has continued to create dramatic songs with theatrical storytelling since his MARILLION days, released his solo debut album on EMI in the UK in 1990 after leaving MARILLION. This solo debut, released on EMI in the UK in 1990 after he left MARILLION, has been reissued by Chocolate Frog as a 5CD+Blu-ray deluxe edition with new remixes in '24! CD1 features the '90 album, the single "Jack And Jill "Whiplash" and the remixed and remastered "Internal Exile ('89 Version)" from the "YANG" compilation released in '95, and CD2 features a remixed version of the '90 album for the first time. CD3/4 contains live recordings of songs from the '90 album, selected from "UNCLE FISH & THE CRYPT CREEPERS", "PIGPEN'S BIRTHDAY" and other compilations and live albums released in the past, and a Blu-ray disc containing the same contents as CD1. Blu-ray contains the same Dolby Atmos/Dolby 5.1 Surround mix of the '24 remixes as CD1, the April 2, '90 Hammersmith Odeon show and the April 2, '90 Odeon show from the live albums "Pigpen's Birthday" and "For Whom the Bells Toll! Odeon on April 2, 1990 and the Edinburgh Playhouse on December 31, 1991, which were previously included on the live albums "Pigpen's Birthday" and "For Whom the Bells Toll!While maintaining the dramatic and theatrical MARILLION sound of his time with the band, he has developed a more introspective and straightforward style of music as a solo artist.
