We are pleased to bring you the pleasure of witnessing this historic moment. The recorder sonatas included in "Master of Faithful Music" are originally a collection of music that can be easily enjoyed at home, but some of them require a surprisingly high level of technique. This recorder piece is one such piece, and it is truly astonishing to see such creative use of the recorder, which everyone can play easily (or so it seems). Petri's playing is closer to modern technique than to baroque technique, and the tone is straight and extended without tame, and in fact it is very difficult to play this piece in this way. Also, Newman's harpsichord is improvisational and flexible.... This is a piece where you can fully enjoy the inspiration of a genius. Naxos Japan
