The album is a work of art that is about living, about being alive, and about the world. The album expresses what it means to be alive, to be brave and vulnerable. A personal musical journey told against the backdrop of a world plunged into chaos, told in his most introspective sound to date. He processes actual fragments of his life story on this album, using brilliant sampling techniques to open a window of his experience to the listener. The album also features musicians who are friends of his, including British musician Bonobo, Icelandic singer and multi-instrumentalist JFDR, and German singer-songwriter Josin. All of these people were either part of my life at the time or had shared experiences that influenced the album," he says. I can't imagine producing such a personal album and not collaborating with my friends."In this work, Arnalds challenges life with all its facets, accepting it for what it is, letting go, and above all, reacting and thinking about it to find personal inner peace.
