The program highlighting the fascinating chamber music of 19th century Poland, the era in which Chopin lived, couples the music of Juszef Nowakowski (1800-1865) with Chopin's "Duet, Op.18," composed in 1841 and recorded for the first time in the world. The "Piano Quintet No. 2, Op. 17," which is as attractive as the same piece by Schubert and Schumann, is also a must for fans of Polish music of the Romantic period. The latter part of the program will be Chopin's "Prelude, Op.28-4," arranged for chamber ensemble by Jerzy Czembrzynski in 2000.
