Swedish Shunschluss Christian Svarvar Plays Bruch's Masterpiece Concerto! Swedish violinist Christian Svarvar's (1982-) first work on the Rubicon label features Bruch's masterpiece "Violin Concerto No. 1," also known as the "Evergreen of Romanticism," and the work written by Swedish Wilhelm Steenhammar ( 1871-1927) wrote for Thur Aulin. The Violin Sonata in A minor is in three movements, and is a piece of aromatic romanticism. The "Two Sentimental Romances" was premiered in 1911 at the last concert Aullin gave in front of an audience. Christian Svalvaar studied at the Royal Stockholm School of Music and the Juilliard School, and was named "Rising Star" by ECHO (European Concert Hall Association).He has been a guest with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, and has performed as a chamber musician with Roland Penttinen, Mattin Frost, Clemens Hagen, and Janine Jansen. His repertoire includes German, Russian, and French works from the 18th to early 20th centuries, as well as Swedish Romantic music. Her debut solo album, Grieg's Violin Sonatas (Sterling CDA1684-2), has won international acclaim; she was awarded the 2016 Stockholm Culture Prize. Tokyo M-Plus
