Compilation album of David Keenan's selections of underground music from the second half of the 20th century is now available! Volcanic Tongue, a Glasgow record store run by Scottish writer David Keenan and musician Heather Leigh from 2005 to 2015, was also a record label that distributed and released music. ... The store supported the latest DIY music from around the world, releasing a number of releases on small-volume, homemade CD-Rs, and also turned its attention to forgotten artists of the past, often releasing their music as "self-pressed" LPs. The store was also known for its weekly e-newsletter, which Keenan was eager to discuss new arrivals, especially the "record of the week," nicknamed "Tip of the tongue." This compilation is a compilation of the very releases selected for the "tip of the tongue," a vibrant and diverse celebration of underground avant-garde, covering a total of 20 tracks recorded between 1968 and 2013, from outsider synth to psychedelic folk to busted rock 'n' roll.
