The debut disc by the gifted conductor Aziz Shokhakimov brings out the finest sounding beauty of Tchaikovsky's works with a modern sensibility! Born in 1988 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Aziz Shokhakimov studied violin and viola at the age of six and conducting under Vladimir Naymer. Later, she was invited to conduct classes of the Russian National Philharmonic Orchestra led by Vladimir Spivakov, and made her subscription concert debut in 2010. In the same year, he won the second prize at the "Gustav Mahler International Conducting Competition" organized by the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, which brought him to international attention, and he was soon invited to perform with the Dresden State Opera Orchestra, Bologna Opera Orchestra, Southwest German Radio Symphony Orchestra, Elbph Philharmonic Orchestra, hr Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France He was invited to conduct top European orchestras such as the Dresden State Opera Orchestra, Bologna Opera Orchestra, Southwest German Radio Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, Orchestre Philharmonique de l'Europe, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestre Philharmonique de Milano Verdi, and the Dusseldorf Symphony Orchestra, and has received rave reviews.Since 2015, he has been a member of the conducting staff of the Rhine Deutsche Oper in Düsseldorf, and in 2016 he won the "Nestlé & Salzburg Festival Youth Conducting Competition"; since the 2021/2022 season he has been Music Director of the Strasbourg Philharmonic Orchestra, where he has been a frequent guest conductor since 2014. He conducts the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra in 2018 and 2022. Shokhakimov's conducting has the ability to go above and beyond in unifying musical interpretation and creating the music he wants to express. He creates a new image of Tchaikovsky by adding exquisite flavors to the smooth tempo and sharp rhythms of the impressive melodies.
