Includes works by French jazz nobleman Thomas Enko! Local Brass Quintet's colorful debut album Local Brass Quintet, formed in 2015. Their debut album, "Begone," recorded to celebrate their third anniversary, features works by Granados, Jean-Claude Jean-Jambre, Thomas Enko, Derrick Bourgeois, Arturo Marquez, and many others. The troupe is composed of five graduates of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris and performed at the Chergères Brass Festival in the 2016/2017 season. The group also won third prize in the wind ensemble category at the 9th Osaka International Chamber Music Competition & Festa in 2017. The album is notable for its inclusion of works by French jazz nobleman Thomas Enko. Enko is a multi-talented young composer who has played violin and piano since childhood and also composes music.His first album "Esquisse," released while still a student at the Conservatoire, won the "Django Award" for best newcomer in 2008, and his talent is known worldwide. The "Game for Six," featuring a local brass quintet and Enko's own piano performance, is another work in which Enko's sense of style shines through. The last piece on the album, Dançon No. 2 by Arturo Marquez, was performed as a tribute to El Sistema founder José Antonio Abreu, who sadly passed away in 2018.
