"Boxing The Compass," the first new studio album in 42 years from the reunited British new wave band Haircut 100. Haircut 100 was formed in the early 1980s, centered around Nick Hayward. In 1982, they released their debut album, Pelican West, which included hit songs such as “Love Plus One,” “Favorite Shirt (Boy Meets Girl),” and “Fantastic Day.” While recording their second album, Paint and Paint, frontman Hayward left the band. The album was released in 1984 but failed to achieve commercial success, and the band temporarily disbanded that same year. After several reunions, they resumed activities in 2023. They have toured the UK and the US and performed at the Glastonbury Festival. In 2024, they released “The Unloving Plum,” their first single in 42 years, and announced that they were working on a new studio album. This will be their first studio album since 1984’s Paint And Paint. It will also be the first album featuring Nick Hayward in 44 years.
