Pianist Adolfo Barabino has visited Japan several times and has captivated audiences with his beautiful and delicate tone. His Chopin (1810-1849) concertos are characterized by their velvety smoothness and deep, subdued tone, and this time he will test their true value in the Chopin concertos with the London Symphony Orchestra. His choice of the soft No. 2 instead of the grand No. 1 is typical of him, especially the lyrical and dreamy tone of the second movement, which is unique. The treatment of the third movement, which highlights the characteristic rhythms of the Polish folk dance "Krakowiak," is also excellent, and one can see the anguish and passion of the young Chopin.
