After leaving Deep Purple, David Coverdale formed Whitesnake to pursue his own musical style, and the band is still active at the top of the HM/HR scene. In 1979, after the completion of the album "Lovehunter", drummer Dave Doolle left the band and was replaced by Deep Purple's Ian Paice. The following year, in 1980, the band continued the previous year's tour with the "Ready An' Willing Tour," a 79-show tour that included their first visit to Japan. The April 14 concert at Nakano Sun-plaza in Tokyo was recorded and broadcast as a special program on an FM radio station. This live album is a complete recording of the concert, with a total of 15 songs, consisting of songs from their debut album "Trouble", "Lovehunter", and Deep Purple.Ian Paice and Neil Murray make up a strong rhythm section, and the combination of the two guitarists is also strong, while Jon Lord's keyboards are reminiscent of Deep Purple. David Coverdale's passionate singing throughout the band's performance is one of the best live performances of early Whitesnake! Includes a bonus track from the October 5 show in Landover, Missouri, the same year.
