Miles Davis, the king of the modern jazz scene, has been creating new jazz music at the forefront of the times since his solo debut in 1947, leading the jazz scene by nurturing and debuting many young musicians. Even after his death, he continues to influence musicians in various genres and is greatly respected as a jazz musician. After his first Japan tour in 1964, Miles Davis replaced Sam Rivers with Wayne Shorter, who had emerged with Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers. who had emerged with Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers, to replace Sam Rivers and begin a new tour. Here, Miles Davis' ideal golden quintet was born. The European leg of the tour, which began on October 11, 1964 in Milan, Italy, was recorded and broadcast as a special program on Italian state-run TV . This release is based on the sound recordings used for the broadcast.The one-hour five-song performance differed from the Berlin concert on September 25 of the same year when the album was officially released, with the exception of "Kareha". The interplay between the five musicians was so intense that Wayne Shorter, a new member of the band, has become familiar with this unit.
